From September 15th to 20th, Bucharest became the meeting point for clinicians and researchers from all over the world, united by a shared passion for understanding the Hidden Mechanisms of Vertigo and Recurrent tinnitus.
This first edition of our International Congress brought together:
- 280 participants from Romania and abroad
- 26 Romanian lecturers & 20 international lecturers
- Experts from neurology, ENT, neurosurgery, vascular neurology, geriatrics, recovery medicine, psyhiatry, kinesiology, family medicine, endocrinology, emergency medicine, and more
- 18 companies who trusted and supported us
We are deeply grateful to all participants who stayed with us throughout the week, filling the halls until the very last day. Your presence, your questions, and your enthusiasm made this event an extraordinary success.
A heartfelt thank you goes to our distinguished speakers, who traveled from France, Italy, Switzerland, Czech Republic, Serbia, Algeria, Iraq, and India to share their expertise. We had the privilege of listening to exceptional contributions on tinnitus, recurrent vertigo, and innovative research. Special recognition goes to world-renowned researchers such as Michel Lacour, Christian Chabbert, Brahim Tighilet, and Christophe Lopez, who enlightened us with their vision and experience.
This Congress was possible thanks to the collaboration between its two presidents:
Ioana Voda – Co -President of the Congress and founder of the Romanian Society of Vertigo, Tinnitus and Hypoacusis
Christian Chabert – Co-President of Congress, from the French research group GDR vertige/ IREV – Institut de recherche Equilibre et vertige, who guaranteed the highest scientific level of the program.
The atmosphere was built not only on science, but also on friendship and collegiality: long discussions after 30-minute presentations, joyful coffee breaks, shared meals, and evenings where new collaborations were born and friendships strengthened, Bingo Cases, prize draw, music and dance.
This was more than a congress – it was the beginning of a multidisciplinary community. A community dedicated to advancing knowledge and improving care for patients suffering from vertigo, tinnitus, and hypoacusis.
Although our society is still very young – about to celebrate its first anniversary – we are proud of the Vertigo Clubs, of this successful international congress, and of the projects to come. We will continue to build bridges between specialties, to organize symposiums, to propose algorithms and clinical models, and to nurture this community with the latest research.
See you in two years for the next edition, in a format at least as special as this one!
Until then, we remain united in our mission:
- to advance multidisciplinary medical education,
- to integrate research and clinical practice,
- to improve the lives of our patients
Thank you all for making this possible.
The story has just begun.
